While planning a cultural-themed game night for my cousin's wedding, I started digging into the origins of some traditional Indian card games. I accidentally stumbled across this article: https://www.nagpurtoday.in/how-mughal-courts-shaped-indian-card-games/03111454.
It’s fascinating how much history is woven into games we play casually. But now I’m left wondering—how exactly did the Mughal influence shape the structure or rules of Indian card games like Ganjifa? Are there versions we still play today that trace directly back to those royal courts? Would love some advice or pointers on how to include a historic angle in the game night too.

I just don't get it. Why card games are so popular? I think that stuff like Magic Puzzles is much more entertaining. Maybe something's wrong with me but when it comes to card games, I get bored like instantly. Maybe I only try the wrong games or something. What are the ones that are most fun? Maybe I'll give it another shot.
