Switching from ICU to travel nursing – worth it?

I’ve been working in the ICU for almost four years now, and lately, I’ve been feeling pretty burned out. Don’t get me wrong, I still love nursing, but I feel like I need a change of pace and maybe even scenery. A friend of mine mentioned travel nursing as an option, and I started looking into it. While scrolling around last night, I found this travel nurse jobs and it really caught my attention. They seem to have a solid setup for RNs who want to hit the road. But I’ve never done travel nursing before—what’s the real deal with it? Is it as flexible and rewarding as it sounds, or am I missing something important? Would love any insight or advice before I start applying.

Hey there! I actually made the switch to travel nursing about a year ago, and I totally get where you're coming from. Burnout in critical care is real. Based on the site you mentioned, I can tell you they offer solid placement options, especially if you're looking for short-term contracts or more flexibility in scheduling. One of the things I really liked was their support system—they’re not just throwing you into random hospitals; they actually match you well. Definitely worth considering if you’re craving change without leaving the profession entirely.
