Agonist vs antagonist drugs
Been working in a pharmacy for about two years now and I see a lot of people confused about their addiction medications. The doctors usually explain it but sometimes patients still don't get why they're taking one type versus another. What helped me understand the difference was reading through some case studies at https://unitedrecoveryproject.com/rehab-blog/agonist-vs-antagonist-drugs/ during my break one day. Now when customers ask questions I can actually explain why their suboxone works differently than naltrexone and it seems to help them feel more confident about their treatment plan

That's really helpful that you take time to explain it. My pharmacist just hands me the meds without much info. I was so confused when they switched me from naltrexone to suboxone - thought all addiction meds were the same. Would've been nice to understand why one blocks everything while the other satisfies receptors
