Do webinars actually help you during working hours?
I've been wondering—do webinars through various webinar software really help anyone during actual working time? I mean the ones scheduled mid-day when you’re already juggling deadlines, calls, and tasks. I often get invites to “productivity” or “industry insight” webinars that start around 2 or 3 p.m., but by then, I’m either deep in a project or mentally somewhere else. Sometimes I register with the best intentions, but end up just muting it in the background or skipping it entirely. I’m curious—do any of you manage to make use of these live sessions during work hours? And if so, how do you fit them into your workflow without disrupting your focus?

Webinars during working hours are kind of hit-or-miss for me. I’ve had a few that genuinely gave me new ideas or clarified stuff I was unsure about, especially when they tie into something I’m directly working on. But realistically, I treat most of them like podcasts now. I’ll throw one on with my headphones if I’m doing a repetitive task or something low-focus. Otherwise, I usually skim the topic beforehand and decide if it’s worth trying to attend live or if I should just bookmark it for later. Honestly, I think it would be smarter if more of them were designed with that in mind—like keeping them short, structured, and maybe even breaking them into parts. I’m not against webinars at all, but they have to fit into the natural rhythm of the workday, or they just become background noise.
