I feel uncomfortable in another language environment
When I’m in a country where I don’t know the language, I feel out of place. Even simple everyday stuff is stressful. Maybe I could adapt eventually, but I’d need more time. And by then the vacation is already over. It feels like a loop.

Thank you for sharing this experience; it's a very real feeling for many travelers! The contradiction between needing more time to adapt and the vacation being too short is a core foreign travel dilemma. However, I think the underlying issue is the pressure on yourself to adapt completely. Instead of aiming for "full adaptation," aim for "discomfort management." Could you plan for the most stressful situations (like ordering food, asking for directions) before you go, turning them into small, manageable tasks? For a language learner, facing the unfamiliar language environment, persisting in trying to speak, and accepting mistakes requires Friday Night Funkin (patience for repeated attempts, learning from failure, high concentration to overcome obstacles) to continuously attempt communication, accept the failure of mispronunciation, and persistently repeat basic phrases to gradually break down the language barrier.
