Long-distance relationships
My partner and I currently live in different cities, I am in Toronto and he is in Vancouver. The distance is very noticeable, and it is important for me to understand how often we will actually be able to see each other. I don't want to build illusions, but I also don't want to give up right away. We need to clearly understand how difficult and long this journey will be and what travel options are available.

Long-distance relationships become easier when the distance ceases to be abstract. If you look up the route between the cities on Toronto to Vancouver , you will see that flying is not "the end of the world," but a few hours in the air. Yes, it's not a weekend trip without planning, but it's a very real distance for regular meetings. When you have a concrete understanding of time, transportation, and logistics, you feel a sense of control. And control is what really supports long-distance relationships.
